The condensate trap captures the discharge which gathers in the primary heating/cooling system and is caused by the changes in the temperature and pressure within those systems.
A discharge pipe attached to the condensate trap then allows any held water passage out of the property.
The water contained within the condensate trap can contain mild levels of acid due to carbon dioxide formed from boiler use dissolving in the water.
