Thermocouples are temperature measurement devices consisting of two dissimilar metals joined at one end (the sensing junction). They generate a voltage proportional to the temperature difference between the sensing junction and the other end (the reference junction), which allows them to accurately measure temperature in various heating and industrial applications.
