Overheat thermostats or limit thermostats are designed to cut off the boiler at a set temperature. Most will reset when the temperature lowers whilst some of the need to be reset via a pushbutton.

A Glow-worm brand thermostat suitable for CXI, SXI, Eden, HXI, British Gas and Xeon boilers. The thermostat allows the user to change or set the temperature of a boiler. As well as wired thermostats, Wi-Fi enabled and wireless versions can also be used with selected boilers.
